  1. Combine the wheat flour and enough water to knead the dough.
  2. Cover it and keep it aside.
  3. For the filling: Combine all the ingredients and mix well.
  4. How to proceed:
  5. Take the dough and make small balls.
  6. Roll them, and add filling mixture and give them modak shape.
  7. Take a pan, add little oil and fry the modaks (you can even steam them).Fry till you get golden brown colour.
  8. Drain the excess oil and serve hot.
