  1. For the filling: Heat oil in a pan.
  2. When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds.
  3. When the seeds starts to crackle, add onion and green chillies.
  4. Fry till onion turns translucent.
  5. Add salt and turmeric powder and fry for a few seconds.
  6. Add paneer and coriander and mix well.
  7. Remove the pan from heat.
  8. For the Chilla: Wash and soak the dal for 2-3 hours.
  9. Drain the water.
  10. Grind the dal with ginger, green chilli and little water to make a smooth paste.
  11. Add salt, onion, coriander and more water to make a dosa like batter.
  12. Heat a non stick pan and pour a ladle full of batter in the centre.
  13. Spread the batter to make a thin round using the back of ladle.
  14. Pour a tsp of oil on the sides and cook till golden brown.
  15. Flip and cook the chilla from other side.
  16. Flip again.
  17. Keep 2 tbsp of filling on one half of the chilla.
  18. Fold over.
  19. Serve hot with green coriander chutney.
