It’s good to teach your children and family to be fit, but it is meaningless if you do it at the cost of not valuing yourself enough. Start off by leaving work at work, don’t carry the baggage back home. You need to manage stress better, and that starts with better lifestyle management. Here’s what you can do to have a balanced work-life schedule:

    1. Don’t have an “all or nothing attitude” when it comes to exercise.
    2. Don’t multitask too much, which leaves you feeling exhausted at the end of the day
    3. Skipping health check-ups
    4. Not eating right, drinking or smoking.

Lastly, it is understandable that sometimes you need to be up late to finish your deliverables, especially when you have a deadline to meet but what you can do instead is sleep and wake up early. Your body needs sleep during the right hours, and it’s not the number of hours that make for better sleep. Having a sound sleep between 10-4 AM, for example, will leave you feeling more energized.
