In a bowl mix besan, chopped onion, chopped green chilli and salt to taste. Add water in a small quantity and make a thick batter.
Then in a small frying pan heat the oil on medium flame. Take a batter in between your fingers and drop it into the oil. You can drop 3-4 pakoras in a single batch. Fry until they turn brown and crispy.
Drain and transfer into a plate and keep it aside.
For Making Dahi Kadi
In a bowl, whisk besan and curd with a hand beater.
Add turmeric, salt and water and blend to a smooth batter.
Now heat oil in a medium size pan over medium flame and add fenugreek & mustard seeds. When they start spluttering, add cumin seeds and saute for 20-30 seconds.
Add the already prepared curd besan batter in the pan and mix well.
Cook on medium flame for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Meanwhile, in a small pan heat the oil on low flame. When the oil is hot enough, add dry red chilli & red chilli powder. Immediately switch off the flame and pour it over the prepared kadhi.
In the end add fried pakoras in kadhi and mix well. Cook it for 3-4 minutes.
Delicious besan curry is ready! Serve it with rice or chapati.
