Mushroom Soup with Cream
Soup puts the heart at ease, calms down the violence of hunger, eliminates the tension of the day, and awakens and refines the appetite.
Also having hot soup on cold days is cherry on cake.
Instructions
Melt butter in a pan. Add bay leaf and saute for 2-3 seconds. Add finely chopped onions and garlic.
Saute till the onions soften.
Add sliced or chopped mushrooms and saute till the mushrooms start to release water.
Saute till mushrooms turn light golden.
Add freshly crushed black pepper.
Add water first followed by milk.
Stir well and season with salt.
On medium low flame,cook the soup.
After 4-5 minutes, add the cream and chopped parsley.
Simmer the flame and cook for 1-2 minutes and stir well.
Switch off the flame and pour the soup in individual serving bowls.
Garnish this with parsley or coriander.
